Overcoming Anti-Marriage Forces

Anti-marriage forces are prevalent in our society today and affect people in three ways. They either prevent people from getting married, staying married, or enjoying their marriage. The bible makes it clear that it is God's will for us to be married. In Genesis chapter 2 verse 18, it says "it is not good that man should be alone". If God said something is not good, then that means it isn't good. In Genesis 1 verse 28, "and God blessed them and said, be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth".

God's way to be fruitful is to get married, and then be fruitful. It is not God's plan for us to just find some man or woman and replenish that way, without getting married. It is God's will that a man and a woman will come together, get married, and then multiply. It is also important for us to be married because it is God's way of preserving holiness in the church. Also, when a person is married to the right person, he or she will aid the call of God for your life. Even though marriage is God's plan, there are forces that come to it from coming to pass in our lives.

One of the ways the enemy can derail your destiny is by getting you to marry the wrong person. You need to understand that the right person is not determined based on outward appearance. If you marry according to the will of God, you will live a happy life. However, when you marry according to the will of the flesh, you will be sorry. You need to make sure that you consult God in prayer in order to find the right person.

There are many people who bring a lot of baggage to relationships. You may not see it until you have already been with them for some time. You need to let God lead you. If God leads you, you won't make the mistake of marrying the wrong person. It is better to wait, marry late and be happy, than to marry quickly and have a disastrous marriage.

You also have to be very careful that you are not fooled by people's spiritual gifts. Just because someone has a certain gift, doesn't mean they are spiritually mature. It is very important to pray and to let God open your eyes. Whenever you meet someone and begin dating them, it is important to keep yourself holy. Don't let yourself fall in love immediately. You need to know that man or woman first. Somebody once said that love is blind, but marriage is an eye opener. You need to ask God to speak to you. Let the spirit lead you so you won't make a terrible mistake.

Some people are not married and they are wondering why not, even though they have great qualifications. Here are some of the anti-marriage forces working against people:

Evil attraction: This force causes the wrong man or woman to always be attracted to you. I pray that every evil mark on you will cancel. I command the blood of Jesus to free you from every evil mark.

Another thing that prevents people from getting married is unhealed emotions. Sometimes, even when the right person comes into your life, you cannot accept them because you have unhealed emotions. For instance, the hurt you experienced from past relationships is preventing you from being able to trust someone else. I pray for anyone reading this, that God will heal your emotions.

Generational curses also prevent you from getting married. When you look through your family line, you may see that everyone never gets married. If any generational curse is working against you, you need to pray and cancel that curse.

Another reason people may not get married may be because of witchcraft curses. It could be someone that hates them or is jealous of them. The point is, you need to pray against these hindrances that will prevent you from getting married. I pray that God will set you free in the name of Jesus.

People also don't get married because of inner vows. It may have been a vow you made a long time ago- maybe you saw your dad leave your mom, and you said to yourself "I'm never going to let any man get close to me". You need to pray to God to cancel that terrible vow you made years ago.

Some people also don't get married because they are already married in the spirit realm. Most of the times When you are married in the spirit realm, you can't get married in real life. People who are married in the spirit often have a dream of themselves sleeping with someone or being married in their dreams. That yoke must be broken if you want to move forward in your life.

Now for those of you that are married, many of these things still apply to you. It is important to watch what you say. Some of you have confessed your marriage into trouble. Stop saying the wrong things. Confess what you want to see. If you don't want evil, then confess the word of God.

For those of you who are married, one of the reasons you're experiencing difficulty in your marriages is third party influences. Be very careful who you talk to. The only person you should be talking to is the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to be smart when talking to your friends, or other third party influences. These are practical things that we all need to learn. Our focus is to pray against all of these forces, so that God will set you free.
