Once, a woman approached Jesus, fervently imploring Him to heal her daughter who was tormented by a demon. Initially, Jesus remained silent. However, prompted by His disciples, He responded to the woman's pleas, remarking, "'It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the little dogs'" (Matthew 15:26, NKJV).
Although this statement could have offended the woman, she persisted, and as a result, her daughter received healing. Jesus emphasized that healing belongs to "the children," highlighting in Galatians 3:29 that as believers in Christ, we are part of Abraham's lineage and heirs to the promise (NIV). Moreover, Ephesians 1:5 reminds us that through Jesus Christ, God has adopted us as His children. As those who are spiritually reborn, we are God's children, and therefore, entitled to the children's bread—symbolizing healing. Healing belongs to you and I.
